Feel more satisfied
and fuller, longer
Herbs for weight loss are now especially relevant, because herbs help not only to lose weight, but also to normalize the metabolism and get rid of toxins.
The extract from the peel and pulp of Garcinia cambogia has been traditionally used in traditional medicine, particularly in the Indian Ayurveda. It was taken by those who suffered from rheumatism, edema, delayed menstruation, in case of problems with the digestive system, as a means of activation of its operations and as a laxative, in case of having worms and other parasites, having benign tumors, as well as for the treatment of dysentery. The cases of toxic poisoning during regular use of Garcinia as a food or medicinal concoctions were not noted. This product is traditionally consumed in large quantities by inhabitants of the coast of South Asia for many centuries.
Hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which is made from an extract and rind of the Indian fruit called Garcinia Cambodia, prevents an enzyme that triggers the formation of fatty acids, cholesterol and triglycerides. It helps to lower the level of leptin (a substance that triggers hunger) in the blood, helps to produce serotonin, accelerates fat oxidation and the production of glycogen, leading to a rapid saturation without artificial stimulation of the central nervous system.
Hydroxycitric acid helps to normalize the level of glucose in blood, which is a signal about the saturation for the brain and helps to decrease the feeling of hunger. Hydroxycitric acid help to suppress the craving for sweet and floured foods during diet. Thus, Garcinia, affecting the central receptors of the brain, regulates appetite.
Hydroxycitric acid is very similar by its structure with citric acid so as well it slows the transformation of fat into energy, so inhibits enzyme citrate lyase, as the result the synthesis of fat is blocked. Hydroxycitric acid impedes the creation of acetyl coenzyme A and also, right after, influences on a quantity of the synthesis of fatty acids and activates the oxidation of fats and carbohydrates in the liver and tissues, and that in its turn is an obstacle to their deposition.
Due to hydroxycitric acid the activity of enzymes, which convert carbohydrates into an excess of visceral fat, decreases.
Hydroxycitric acid, blocks the synthesis of fat, suppresses the formation of bad cholesterol, improves metabolism and regulates the balance of energy in a body.
In most cases, dietary supplements, including garcinia, contain from 50 to 80% of hydroxycitric acid. It is considered that the most clinically effective dosages of hydroxycitric acid are from 250 mg to 900 mg if those are taken three times a day, 30-60 minutes before meals.
The Diet does not always bring the results you wish. Psychologists believe that in 95% the reason for that failure is not a badly-chosen diet or the quality of food, but uncontrolled overeating on emotional basis. There is a hormone of happiness, called serotonin, it plays a vital role in general sense on behavioral functions, including the control of a mood, sleep and appetite. The researches showed that the level of serotonin is closely connected with what you eat and how mush you weigh. There is a significant dependency between increasing the quantity of serotonin in plasma, decrease of food intake, weight gain reduction and increase of energy consumption. Having an impact on appetite, the high level of serotonin may also have a positive influence on people who are overweight, who have faced up with emotional problems like overeating or depression. Those people from a test group who had been taking hydroxycitric acid, ate much less food during every meals ever after. The size of portion reduction was up to 30%.
By delaying the biochemical action of an intracellular enzyme which is called ATP-citrate lyase, hydroxycitric acid slows the creation of fatty acids. ATP citrate lyase controls the biosynthesis of acetyl-CoA (carbohydrate-derived a building material for fatty acids). Primarily Acetyl-CoA is synthesized in the cell, more precisely in the mitochondria. When mitochondrial membranes become impermeable to Acetyl-CoA it is transformed to hydroxycitrate and by moving through the mitochondrial membrane, is transformed back to acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate.
However, when there is some required hydroxycitric acid, ATP-citrate lyase is not activate any more, as a result the process of the synthesis of fatty acids from carbohydrates and after their storage in the liver are blocked.
It also activates biochemical changes in the liver that contribute to fat burning. Deactivating the enzyme, hydroxycitric acid effectively stops the transformation of starch and sugars into fat, that is why hydroxycitric acid is called inhibitor of lipogenesis (“lipo” – fat “genesis” – creation).
But the energy exchange is not affected due to the fact that the oxidation of fat in the liver, on the contrary, is increased.
That’s how it happens: the human body produces insulin if the man eats and consumes carbohydrates, that makes a fat cell open. And the fat, produced by those carbohydrates goes into that openned cell.
Glycogen, a polysaccharide the molecules of which are built up of glucose units, but have a greater number of branches, all these are energetic reserve of many living-being, accumulated in the liver and muscles. Hydroxycitric acid activates the necessary enzyme and thus the biosynthesis of carnitine. Garcinia Cambogia is a herb for effective weightloss. When there is aome L-carnitine in a human body (such a fat burner) does not allow insulin to open the fat cell for fat incoming, but opens the fat cell for fat outcoming, better to say ? fat burning.
As even in case of not a great amount of extra calories in food the fat will be produced anyway and will be tranfsered to the fat cells. So in such a case insulin can only burn carbohydrates in order to get some energy and to accumulate some glycogens in liver. Carbohydrates are the resource of energy of a human body. Besides they increase the level of serotonin, the enzyme of satisfaction, also accelerate metabolizm and help to escape of prostration.
Xanthochymol – it is one of the most effective ingredients which the peel of Garcinia fruit contains. This strong natural component attracted so much attention to itself as soon as the researchers found that it may help prevent cancer.
During the research, a few years ago in Japan, the scientists from the International Institute for Biotechnology of Gigu city, proved that xanthochymol is able to suppress the growth of cancer cells, as well as accelerate the destruction of abnormal cells in the human body.
Recently a group of scientists working in Pharmaceutical University in China have confirmed these conclusions. The cells used for the research where taken from the human stomach, where they cut a part of cancer tissue. So it was found that Garcinia makes the cancer cells stop the growth and cell proliferation.
This is very important as MRSA is considered to be a serious threat for the old and weak hospitalized patients, in particular, and can become the reason of serious infections and even death.
The results of the researches conducted by the Department of Microbiology in Prince of Songkla University in Thailand showed that an extract of Garcinia is extremely effective in blocking the growth of the MRSA bacteria. In addition, it was found that Garcinia can also block the growth of other dangerous bacteria and fungi, for example Candida Albicans (which causes thrush) or Cryptococcus (which causes pneumonia). The researches connected with this fruit are conducted till now.
